Home Minister urges BCL men not to involve in evil work

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Saturday urged the leaders and the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) to work for Awami League during the next general election instead of earning people’s displeasure.
The Minister was addressing an exhibition titled ‘Alok Chittre Bangabandhu O Bangladesh’ (Bangabandhu and Bangladesh in Photography) organised at Shoparjito Shadhinota Sculpture on the Dhaka University presmesis.
The BCL did it on the occasion of the 98th birth
anniversary of Father of The Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
BCL President Saifur Rahman Sohag presided over the programme, while National University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Harun-or Rashid, Jagannath University VC Mijanur Rahman and BCL former General Secretary Mahfuzul Haider Chowdhury Raton addressed at the function. BCL General Secretary S M Jakir Hossain conducted the function.
Asaduzzaman Kamal said, “BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that the celebration of ‘graduation of Bangladesh from LDC’ was a ‘perverted celebration’. This is a very shameful remark”.
 “Bangladesh became champion in corruption index four times and finished 2nd once during the BNP government. But no such discredit was earned during the AL government,” he added.
He also said, “Bangladesh will be an ‘enlightened country’ led by Sheikh Hasina and no conspiracy would obstruct the progress of Bangladesh.”
