Homage paid to Bangabandhu

Bangladesh Awami League, local units of Rajshahi along with its front organizations paid rich homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his portrait and mural.
City Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton accompanied by scores of leaders and workers placed wreaths on the portraits of Bangabandhu and four other national leaders at the party’s city unit office premises on Monday morning.
Subsequently, they also placed wreaths on the mural of Bangabandhu at C&B crossing in the city.
After laying the wreath, they stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation.
Later, they offered doa seeking eternal peace for the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who had to embrace martyrdom on the fateful August 15, 1975, reports BSS.
City unit president Muhammad Ali Kamal, Senior Vice-president Shaheen Akter Rainy, General Secretary Dablu Sarker and vice-president Mahfuzul Alam, among others, were present.
