Holy Shab-e-Barat observed

The holy Shab-e-Barat was observed with due religious solemnity, festivity, gaiety and fervour amid tight security measures in the divisional city and elsewhere in the district last night.
Thousands of the Muslims offered `nafal’ prayers at mosques, homes and reciting from the holy Quran in observance of one of the most meaningful nights of forgiveness, fortune, hopes and aspirations.
They also sought blessings of Almighty Allah for long life, peace, progress, good health and happiness for them, their families, relatives, friends through offering special prayers with hopes of forgiveness and eternal peace for their departed parents and generations.
Dozens of the mosques were specially illuminated, milad mahfils, `zikrs’ organised, and `tobaraks’ distributed at mosques both in the urban and rural areas and important places.
Special discussions were held at the mosques since after the Asr Prayers where noted Olamaye-Kerams Imams delivered speeches narrating spiritual significance of in the most sacred night. Many of the Muslims stayed for the whole night at the mosques, offer special prayers and `ziarats’ at the graveyards of their forefathers and departed relatives, friends and nearer seeking forgiveness and eternal peace for all.
Special prayers were also offered seeking divine blessings and kindness for the overall welfare, successes and good luck of the humanity, country and its people and the Muslim Ummah as a whole across the world.
BSS from Khulna adds: The Holy Lailatul Barat was observed here Thursday night with due religious farver and solemnity.
Many Muslim devotees passed the night at city’s different mosques including Town Jame Mosque, Baitun-Nur-Jame Mosque, Darul-Ulum Jame Mosque, Iqbal Nagar Jame Mosque offering special prayers, reciting from the Holy Quran, holding doa mahfil, zikir and other religious activities, seeking blessing of the Almighty Allah for peace, progress for themselves, their families, relatives, friends as well as the nation and the Muslim Ummah. Religious discussions were held at mosques and other religious places throughout the night and foods, sweets and money were distributed among the poor and destitute.
A huge number of devotees also visited the nearest graveyards in the city and prayed for peace of the departed souls of their near and dear ones. The authority of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) illuminated and decorated all city graveyards including Tootpara and Basupara on the occasion.
BSS from Gaibandha reports: The Holy Shab-e-Barat was observed in the district on Thursday night as elsewhere in the country with due religious fervor and solemnity.
The Muslims consider Shab-e-Barat as one of the three most sacred nights and seek mercy of Almighty Allah for their better life and livelihood) for the next year.

Besides, they visited the graveyards of their forefathers, close relatives and Muslim saints overnight and distributed sweets and homemade foods like ruti and halua among the poor, neighbors and friends.
Many mosques especially Gaibandha Bara Mosque, Kachari Bazar Jame Mosque, Gorosthanpara Jame Mosque, Fakirpara Jame Mosque, Shukhshantir Bazaar Jame Mosque and other different religious organizations arranged milad mahfil, zikr ajkars, and distributed tabaraks in urban and rural areas.
Special discussion were also held at Khanka Sharif Jame Mosque of the town since the Asr prayers where a good number of imams and religious leaders coming from different places of the country delivered speeches narrating spiritual significance of the sacred night.
