The holy Ashura, commemorating the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hossain Ibn Ali (RA), a grand son of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was observed in Bagerhat district town and the nine Upazilas of the district with due solemnity on Friday in the midist of corona pandemic observing the health care.
Muslims across the world recalling the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hossain (RA) along with his family members and 72 followers, who embraced martyrdom in the Hijri year of 61 for establishing truth and justice in the fight with the soldiers of Yazid on the bank of the river Euphrates at Karbala Maidan in Iraq.
Due to the prevailing of corona in the country the day’s programme was curtailed.
