Devout males and females are travelling to Saudi Arabia for performing Hajj or Omra through Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport every day .
Beside the special Hajj flight, the devotee pilgrims are also going to Saudi Arabia through Chattogram-Jeddah regular flights.
Besides , Chattogram division based pilgrims are also going Saudi Arabia from Dhaka via Chattogram airport using Bangladesh Biman or other private airlines.
Not only that Saudi Airlines bound pilgrims of this zone are also using Biman or private airlines flight to reach Dhaka aimed at boarding Jeddah flight. But matter of regret that no pilgrims guider/facilitator on behalf of the government has been deployed in Chattogram International Airport .
As a result, the elderly credulous pilgrims of rural or remote areas of Chattogram division are facing embarrassing situation at airport lack of proper guiders, Hajj Jatri Kaylan Parishad (HJKP) alleged. HJKP demanded immediate deployment of Hajj guiders at airport on behalf of govt or Bangladesh Biman on emergency basis as the Hajj flights from Chattogram begins yesterday.
Govt as well as Biman authority have been urged to deploy the Hajj guiders at Chattogram Airport on emergency basis at a meeting of the HJKP held at Paramount Hotel Conference Hall on Friday with its President Ahmadul Islam Chowdhury in the chair.
Secretary General of HJKP Principal Dr Abdul Karim delivered address of welcome in the meeting duly conducted by Dr Saleh Ahmed Suleman as moderator.
