A drama show of staging Euripides’s famous tragedy “Hippolytus” was held at the auditorium of Stamford University Bangladesh (SUB) on Wednesday with much enthusiasm and ebullience.
Chairman of English Department, Prof Waliul Islam inaugurated the drama as chief guest. Teachers and students of the Department attended the drama show.
Drama Director and senior lecturer of English Department, Sharmin Siddique Shoma has directed the drama staged by Honors’ final year’s students of the Department as part of their practical performance.
Planned and scripted by Mahmuda Begum Sinthia, Susmita Sarkar Shuvra, Fouzia Khan of the Department, “Hippolytus” portrays the story of a heroic figure with effective background music.
After that, Chairman and teachers of English Department of SUB concluded the program with their speeches.
They hoped that this drama show would be helpful to spread cultural and literary composition.
