A women organization named Bangladesh Hindu Nari Adhikar Prochesta organized a press conference at Kaliganj Press Club with a view to realizing the fundamental rights to inherit the ancestral land.
According to the country’s Constitution they are being deprived of getting the land of their father after marriage.
On Friday night at around 7-30 pm a press conference was arranged at the Press Club where Asian University , Dhaka Cosmopolitan Rotary Club member, Sanatan Samaj Kalyan Shangsha President and Convener of this organization Monjusree Datta Papia read out the written statement and Associate Prof Rabindranath Vishnu, Mukti Rani Vishnu and Nomita Bhadra members of the organization were present .
In her written statement she told that the women of this subcontinent are deprived of their rights from time immemorial. They are just like water hyacinth. They are deprived of father and husband’s assets. She added that after liberation the equal rights of women had been ensured in the country’s constitution.
Hindu women’s right had not been established for long. They are deprived of their rights due to some obsolete men. As per rules of sanatan religion Hindu women are now still like water hyacinth.
She told that women are the half of Hidu community. No progress is possible keeping them in the dark. It is remarkable that nearby country India has provided rights of Hindu women of their father and husband. But why the Hindu women will be deprived of their rights?
