Hailed from Shariatpur promising play director Himel Ashraf started his career in media with the hands of Mostafa Sarwar Farooki. But as a
director, he started his career in 2008 when he made a play titled Maa under his written story.
It was aired on ATN Bangla in 2008 where Apurbo and Tazin Ahmed acted in two lead roles.
From his first directed play Himel Ashraf showed his skill. Later he made several faction plays.
In 2012, he first made a serial titled Window. Later he also made two other serials titled Chowdhury Bari and Goppo. Now his
directed a serial titled Ekdin Chhuti Hobey
is being aired on NTV. But his career turned into another dimension when Himel started to make a movie titled Sultana Bibiana under the banner of Versatile Media. He had dreamt to make movie. Arshad Adna of that production house has
fulfilled his dream.
Himel is going to USA either in December or January to make a telefilm Snow Angel. While talking in this regard he said, “Snow Angel is my dream project. I want to make it in USA because without there it can not be made properly.”
Meanwhile, for Banglavision and RTV Himel Ashraf recently has made two serials – Extension Please and Panch Foron respectively.
Born on February 4 Himel Ashraf is now engaged with making telefilms for coming Victory Day, Valentine’s Day and Pahela Boishakh, he said.
