Hi-Tech Park and Cyber City to be set up in Ctg soon: Palok

State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and ICT Junaied Ahmed Palok said the government will set up a Cyber City on 98 acres of land at Bakalia area in the port city and a Hi-Tech Park on 300 acres of land beside Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) very soon.
The ICT Minister declared that Digital Computer Labs under the project on ‘Learning-Earning’ would be installed in every high school and colleges in 14 upazilas of Chittagong within next two years so that the students can attain knowledge about the information technology.
The Minister said while addressing as chief guest at the inaugural function on a three-day long 5th digital innovation fair in port city styled “Divisional Digital Innovation Fair-2015” held at Chittagong Outer Stadium area on Thursday noon.
Chittagong District Administration organized the fair under the project of Access to Information (A2I) of Prime Minister Office (PMO).
Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Mezbah Uddin presided over the program while Waseka Ayesha Khan, MP, ICT Secretary Shyam Sundar Sikdar were among others addressed at the inaugural function.
Speaking at the inaugural function Palak said over 60 percent young people in our country will be pushed the wheel of country’s economy if we give them ICT facilities at cheapest rate.
The state minister expressed hope that some 55 thousand youths will earn money through freelance outsourcing within next two or three years. At least 110 different information stalls has set up at Chittagong Outer stadium area and three seminars on information technology will be held in the fair in three days.
State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury will address the concluding function as chief guest on February 28 next.
