Hemayet Mollah of Chittagong District Sports Association emerged men’s singles champion in the Independence Day Carrom competition beating Hafizur Rahman of Khulna by 2-1 sets in the keenly contested final held on Friday Carrom Federation’s office room of Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium.
Besides, Robin of Dhaka finished third position in the meet.
On the other hand, Afsana Nasrin of Eden Women’s College emerged champion in the women’s singles beating Sabina Yasmin in the final. Farhana Nasrin Lipi finished third in the meet.
