Chittagong Correspondent :
A Chittagong court on Wednesday sent Hefajat-e Islam central leader Mufti Harun Bin Izhar to jail after police produced him before it in a violence case seeking a 10-day remand for him.
The court fixed today for hearing the remand prayer, said Additional Deputy Commissioner (Prosecution) Kazi Mutaki Ibnu Minan.
The case was filed with Kotwali Police Station over attacking police and panicking people by exploding cocktails in the city’s Kazir Dewri during a meeting of BNP-led 20-party alliance in May, 2012.
Mufti Harun was shown arrested in the case as he was arrested in front of Chittagong jail gate immediately after his release on bail in four other violence cases.
