Aspirants are going from door to door seeking votes as elections in Paikgachha upazila of the district will be held on March 15.
The candidates for both Chairman and Vice-Chairman posts are holding rallies and processions at different villages in the upazila and seeking voters’ blessing for their electoral victory.
People from all ages, particularly the youths are bringing out processions in favour of their respective chairman and vice chairman candidates. Leaflets with symbols and photographs of the candidates are being distributed among the voters.
A total of 1,85,643 voters are expected to exercise their right to franchise through 69 polling centres in the upazila.
