Sabotage case: Hearing on charge framing against Fakhrul, 25 others deferred

A Dhaka court yesterday (Wednesday) deferred the hearing on charge framing against 26 BNP men, including their Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, till October 1 in a sabotage case.
Magistrate Atiqur Rahman of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka fixed the new date on Wednesday granting the time plea of a defense lawyer.
Earlier, defense counsel Joynul Abedin Mesbah
 filed a petition, seeking deferment of the hearing, as Mirza Fakhrul had gone abroad for his medical treatment.
On March 2 in 2013, Paltan Police Station Sub-Inspector Mehedi Moksud filed the case on the charges of vandalism and setting fire to vehicles during the hartal (Shutdown).
On March 26 in 2013, Sub-Inspector Aminul Islam and Investigation Officer of the case submitted the charge sheet of the case, against 26 including Mirza Fakhrul.
