Hearing on blogger Rajeeb murder case deferred

The Speedy Trial Tribunal-3 of Dhaka yesterday (Wednesday) deferred the hearing in the case filed in connection with the killing of blogger Ahmed Rajeeb Haider in the capital to October 11.

 deferred the hearing as no witness was present in the court on Wednesday. Of the 55 witnesses, the court so far recorded the deposition of 13 people.
Rajeeb, a Gonojagoran Mancha activist was hacked to death at Pallabi in the city in February of 2013. His father Dr Nazimuddin filed the murder case with Pallabi Police Station on February 16.
Detective Branch (DB) Police Inspector Nibaran Chandra Barman submitted the charge sheet of the case accusing eight persons including Ansarullah Bangla Team chief Mufti Jasim Uddin Rahmani on January 28, last year.
