Court Correspondent :
A Dhaka court on Sunday deferred the hearing of charge framing against 12 BNP leaders and activists including Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to October 8 in a case filed for explosion of cocktail.
Dhaka’s Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Zakia Parvin passed the order following a petition seeking time filed by Fakhrul’s lawyer Zainul Abedin Mezbah.
The defence counsel sought time as his client, the prime suspect of the case, could not come to the
court. Earlier on December 9 in 2012, Motijheel Police Station Sub-Inspector Mokarram Hossain filed the case against BNP leaders and activists about blasting cocktail, vandalizing vehicles and creating obstruction to police activities.
Later on December in 2013, police submitted the charge sheet to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court (CMM) of Dhaka against the 12 BNP leaders and activists including Mirza Fakhrul Islam.
