Health system of Ctg changed than earlier : Nowfel

State Minister for Education Barrister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel has said that the health system in Chattogram has changed more than before.He was responding to reporters’ questions after the inauguration of a new isolation ward for corona patients at Anderkilla General Hospital in the city on Sunday last.
Nowfel said Chattogram is 100 per cent ready to face a possible second wave of corona. The Prime Minister himself is overseeing the medical system during the corona period.
From the very beginning, the General Hospital for the treatment of Corona patients in Chattogram was declared as Corona Dedicated Hospital.
He added that a city is not built on a private medical system. There is a need to increase the capacity of the General Hospital to increase government medical services.
Arrangements will be made to build a unit of 500 more beds here, so that this hospital upgrade to 1000 beds.General Hospital Superintendent Asim Kumar Das was present at the time, Chattogram Civil Surgeon.
