Headmaster accused of taking bribe for giving job

A press conference was held alleging Moktar Hossain, headmaster of Ishwardi’s Bahasa Shaheed Vidya Niketan, for taking three lakh taka bribe for giving job .
The victims Raju Ahmed, Shahidul Islam, Ziaur Rahman, Rubel Mahmud, Abdul Quader, Seken Ali, Shahiduzzaman Sardar, Yaqub Ali, Dablu Sardar, Shamsul Haque, spoke at a press conference held at Ishwardi Upazila Press Club on Sunday.
Speakers said that Raju Ahmed along with his witness went to the headmaster’s house at 7.30 pm on August 25 and paid Rs 3 lakh when a notice was given in the newspaper for the post of security guard of Bahasa Shaheed Vidya Niketan School. Later on September 2, he took part in written and oral examinations.
Later, Raju Ahmed was not given a job but was given a job to someone outside the area with more money. After knowing the matter, when he wanted to return the money to the headmaster, he kept making excuses.
He stopped his mobile phone and stopped coming to school. In this situation, the locals including Raju have recently lodged a complaint against the headmaster’s cheating in front of the school with human bonds and various important departments including Ishwardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer and School Management Committee President. In this situation, the victims demanded the return of money and punishment of the headmaster, but it was also claimed in the press conference that no action was being taken.
