Staff Reporter :
The High Court on Sunday summoned the Director General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) to explain his noncompliance with its earlier order to provide MPO facilities to 19 teachers and employees of Jhenidah Saleha Begum Degree College.
The HC bench of Justice Mamnun Rahman and Justice Ashish Ranjan Das asked Dr Syed Md Golam Faruk to appear before it on July 31 to explain his stance.
Advocate Siddique Ullah Mia stood for the petitioners.
On March 13, 2017, the HC ordered the authorities

concerned to enlist the 19 teachers and employees under the MPO scheme.
The Appellate Division on August 6, 2018 rejected a petition filed challenging the HC order.
As the order was not executed, teachers filed a contempt of court petition with the High Court later.
The HC issued a contempt of court rule on December 18 last and later on April 16 gave the DSHE DG another week to implement the order.
The HC came up with the fresh summon order as he failed to comply with the order even after that.
