Nur-E-Alam Siddique, vice-president of the central committee of Bangladesh Awami Matsayajibi League, filed the case with a court here on September 1 for his comment on the Prime Minister at a press conference.
According to the case statement, Fakhrul at a press conference at the BNP’s central office at NayaPaltan on August 24 2014 said, “Sheikh Hasina herself is a murderer and her party, the Awami League, is known as the Murderers’ Party. Online and print media outlets and television channels ran stories on the statement of the BNP leader.
However, Fakhrul secured bail in the case later.
