The High Court (HC) on Thursday stayed the Bangladesh Bank’s (BB) order to remove the NRBC Bank Managing Director Dewan Mujibur Rahman.
The HC also issued a rule over the matter asking the authorities as to why the order of the central
bank should not be declared illegal.
The concerned authorities have been asked to comply the rule within four weeks.
BB on Wednesday issued the removal order after 10 allegations of corruption and irregularities were proven against Rahman.
The HC bench of Justice Syed Muhammad Dastagir Husain and Justice Md Ataur Rahman Khan passed the order after hearing a writ petition filed by Dewan Mujibur Rahman.
