HC rule copy over violence sent to Khaleda’s office

A copy of a High Court rule over the ongoing violence across the country in the name of hartal and blockade has been sent to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office.
An MLSS of the Supreme Court’s writ section, Humayun Islam Khan, carried the copy of the High Court rule to Khaleda’s Gulshan office on Friday, her media wing member Shamsuddin Didar told UNB on Saturday.
Didar said, he received the copy of the rule and sent it to Khaleda’s chamber on the 1st floor of her office.
The BNP chief has been staying at her Gulshan office since January 3.
Khaleda Zia is one of the 162 respondents of the two writ petition filed by Shafiul Alam Khan Baku, president of the managing committee Ispahani High School, Keraniganj seeking steps for holding the examinations in a violence-free environment while Shahinur Islam Shaheen, a resident of Keraniganj, filed another petition seeking an end to violence on February 15.
