The High Court (HC) has ordered the closure of 71 unauthorised brickfields in Chattogram.
The court directed the Chattogram Deputy Commissioner and Director of the Environment Department to close 71 brickfields by February 18
A HC bench comprising Justice Mohammad Mojibur Rahman Mia and Justice Kamrul Hossain Mollah passed the order on Sunday after hearing a writ petition filed by Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh.
