Staff Reporter: The High Court on Wednesday ordered the law ministry to explain why the quick transfer of Pirojpur District and Sessions Judge Abdul Mannan should not be considered illegal.
Justice Tariq ul Hakim and Justice Iqbal Karim’s bench issued a rule asking the law ministry to explain within a week.
Earlier, Mannan was instantly transferred from Pirojpur court after he sent local former lawmaker and Awami League district unit President AKMA Awal and his wife Laila Parvin to jail rejecting their bail pleas in graft cases filed by Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).
