HC gets 18 new judges

Eighteen Additional Judges were appointed in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court on Wednesday raising the number to 98.
President Md Abdul Hamid gave the appointments for two years in line with the Article 98 of the Constitution, a notification of the Law Ministry said.

Among the new Additional Judges, six are from Judicial Service and 12 are from Advocates of the Supreme Court and Deputy Attorney Generals.
The newly appointed judges are Abu Ahmed Jamader, Member, International Crimes Tribunal, Dhaka, Md Mostafizur Rahman, Additional Secretary, Law and Justice Department, Law Ministry, Fatema Nazib, District and Session Judge, Narshingdi, Md Kamrul Hossain Molla, Metropolitan Session Judge, Dhaka, S M Quddus Jaman, District and Session Judge, Dhaka, Md Atowar Rahman, Divisional Special Judge, Dhaka, S M Abdul Mobin, Advocate, Supreme Court, Khizir Hayat, Deputy Attorney General, Bangladesh, Shashangka Shekhor Sarker, Deputy Attorney General, Bangladesh, Mohammad Ali, Advocate, Supreme Court, Mohiudddin Shamim, Advocate, Supreme Court, Md Riaz Uddin Khan, Advocate, Supreme Court, Md Khairul Alam, Advocate, Suprmee Court, S M Moniruzzaman, Deputy Attornery General, Bangladesh, Ahmed Sohel, Advocate, Supreme Court, Sarder Md Rashed Jahangir, Deputy Attorney General, Bangladesh, Khondaker Diliruzzaman, Deputy Attorney General, Bangladesh and Dr K M Hafizul Alam, Advocate, Bangladesh Supreme Court.
The appointment will come into effect after their oath, the notification said.
