Hatil, a leading furniture company in the country, is playing a vital role to make the modern furniture popular in the international market.
The company started its journey in 1989 with the slogan “slim is smart” and breaking old tradition, it always tried to create an array of systems adjusted with the actual needs of the customers.
While talking to journalists, its Chairman Selim H Rahman said, “Our long-standing devotion and experience made us brave to build a world-class factory. After fulfilling country’s demand, Bangladeshi furniture will be exported throughout the world.”
A new possibility has created in the sector to earn foreign currency, he added.
The Zirani Bazar Hatil Factory located in Savar on about 20 acres of land and around 50,000 people are working in the company. The factory has already got the status of manufacturing of the largest wooden furniture in South Asia for its largest production capabilities.
With suggestion of a German-based consultancy farm, the factory has decorated with the latest technologies and machineries of Germany, Italy, Japan and America with capacity of manufacturing 48 thousand pieces of furniture in every month.
Using the capability of manufacturing huge amount of wood-based furniture, Hatil is exporting it furniture in the South Asian countries like India, Nepal, Bhutan, along with USA, Canada, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Russia and many other countries.
It is also selling its own designed products at home and abroad with considering the customers liking designs, company insiders said.
