Hathazari-Raozan 4-lane road on card

The construction work of expansion of existing Hathazari- Raozan road into four lanes will begin very shortly .
 The 18- kilometer long this portion of Chittagong Rangamati highway will be expanded at a cost of Tk.520 crores , a sources of our Raozan correspondent said. Sources quoting Raozan uazila chairman Ehasanul Haider Chowdhury Babul said a project of Tk.520 crores has already been sent to the concerned ministry for finalisastion of the project .
Upazila Chairman told our correspondent that chairman of the Parliamentary standing committee on Railway Ministry ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP was perusing the matter of expansion of Raozan Hathazari portion of Rangmati road since long and his personal endeavours some portions of this road already expanded into sixty to seventy feet breadth. Upazila chairman told that the Rangamati road is very much important on point of tourism development in hill districts and in the proposed section of the road where two upazila headquarters, two pourashavas are located . Besides beside the road , there are 5 colleges including one govt college and one govt high school . On the other hand at end of this portion of road , pink city and BSIC industrial estate are under progressing .
Mentionable that a Govt Technical college is being constructed at Gohira point of this section , While contacted Divisional Engineer of R&H Department Mr. Maung ching Chakma told that beside the expansion work of Raozan Hathazar road, another proposal of development of Hathazari Nazirhat Road at a cost of Tk.56 crores already sent to the concerned ministry recently.
