Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Saturday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of prominent Tagore researcher Professor Nasim Uddin Malitha.
In a condolence message, Hasan, also the Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Nasim Uddin Malitha passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the city on Saturday at the age of 74.
He is the father of Chakor Malitha of private television Channel I’s News Production Department.
