Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of eminent composer and Music Director Alauddin Ali.
In a condolence message on Sunday, remembering the outstanding contribution of Alauddin to music arena for the long four decades, the minister said many eminent singers of the sub-continent included Bangladesh, India and Pakistan have enriched themselves by singing to the tune of composer, music director, violinist and lyricist Alauddin Ali.
Hasan, also Awami League Joint General Secretary, said the songs of the National Award winning composer and music director have created a huge popularity in the Bangla films.
