A raw grass market has been inaugurated at Kapasia in Gazipur under the Integrated Livestock Development Project with the aim of improving the socio-economic and living standards of the backward minorities living in the plains under the initiative of the Upazila Livestock Office. Simeen Hussain Rimi MP, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Culture, inaugurated the grass market as the chief guest on 11 Mach Thursday morning.

Among others present were Gazipur District Dairy Farmers Association President Md Akram Hossain Badshah, Kapasia Upazila Dairy Farmers Association President former MP Muhammad Shahidullah, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Asaduzzaman Asad, Kapasia Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Rasheduzzaman Mia.
Besides, dairy farmers, entrepreneurs, farmers and buyers and sellers of grass production from different parts of the upazila were present.
