Entertainment Report :
He is a patriotic singer. His family tried to settle him along with his family outside the country for several times. But singer and musician Khan Asifur Rahman, popularly known as Agun did not agree to settle outside the country because he believes he was born during the year of independence of Bangladesh. Today is his birthday. He was born on February 9 in 1971. During his birth, war of independence of the country was going to start. For this reason, his father late Khan Ataur Rahman gave his name Agun. There is a song on Agun which was rendered by his mother late Nilufar Yasmin. Title of the song is: Agun Jwolere Nivanor Keu Nai. This song was used in Khan Ataur Rahman directed movie Sujon Sokhi. This song was also composed by Agun’s father.
On the occasion of his birthday, Agun has no plan to celebrate the day. His wife Farhana Khan Tanna said, “Agun will cross 50 years today, Alhamdulillah. Everybody pray for him. There will be homely arrangement on his birthday. He will try to celebrate the day along with his two sons – Moshal and Michhil.”
Agun said, “When birthday comes, I really miss my father. I always try to establish myself with my father’s ideology. My elder son Michhil is also a singer. I believe he will become better singer than me because he has dedication to music. It is really delightful matter that the age of Bangladesh and mine is same. I love my country very much.”
Apart from his rendered play-back songs, Aamar swapnogulo keno emon swapno hoi is Agun’s one of the most popular songs. In 1993, he got huge popularity as a play-back singer to render songs of movie Keyamat Theke Keyamat. Agun is also anchoring TV shows regularly.
