After starting corona pandemic and due to lockdown, legendary film actress Farida Akhtar Poppy, popularly known by her stage name Babita, could not go to her son Anik in Canada. Though she talked with her son over video call everyday but the film actress could not get relief not to hug her son closely, according to Babita. For this reason, she was waiting to Canada to meet her son. In the meantime, date of her visa to visit Canada was also expired. She gets the Canadian visa from Singapore. I felt a lot of pains in this regard. I was really feeling bored with Dhaka’s lonely life. My visa was also expired. Later, as a mother, I applied for visa to the related authority to go to my son in Canada. They gave me permission. I cannot express in a word how much I am feeling good to meet my son here. But I have no excitement about my birthday. Last Wednesday my second uncle died. Due to corona many known persons of my country are dying regularly. For this reason, I am feeling bad. Overall, I have no mentality to celebrate my birthday right now. But it is a likeable matter that I am with Anik. Everybody prays for us as we can remain well. But I do not want to disclose my real age.”
