Police rescued a hanging body from a mango tree at Krishnabati village in Monirampur upazila of Jashore district on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Anil Biswas (75) son of Bola Biswas in the upazila.
Sunil Biswas , relatives of the deceased said that Anil Biswas was not available at home from noon on Wednesday. At one stage of the search, at around 9:30 pm, he was seen hanging in a mango tree on the side of his house.
Monirampur Khedapara camp police in-charge SI Rabiul Islam said we are investigating the incident. The body was handed over to the relatives to complete the funeral SI added.
