Police recovered a hanging body of a farmer from Hamdahdanga village field in Jhenidah sadar upazila on Monday noon.
The deceased was identified as Chanu Mondol, 40 son of Azahar Mondol of Badanpur village of the upazila.
Officer in charge (OC) Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury of sadar police station said, On Monday noon at around 1:00 pm locals found a body haging with a tree of Hamdahdanga village field and informed police. On information police reched the spot and recovered the body and sent to Jhenidah sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Some miscreants swooped Chnnu when he was sleeping on the varenda of his house with his son on Sunday night.The miscreants have hung the body with the tree after killing him, the OC gussed.
A case has been filed with sadar police station in this connection, the OC added.
