H.M. Hakim Ali, a pioneer in tourism and hospitality sector in Bangladesh has been awarded “Life Time Achievement Award” by “The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh” recently.
“In grateful recognition of his visionary guidance and unwavering leadership in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector in Bangladesh. The legacy will be remembered by many generations to come”.
In addition to above he has been awarded “Lifetime Achievement Award” by “The Bangladesh Monitor” a fortnightly Journal on Aviation, Tourism, Hotel & Restaurant etc. on account of his continuous dedicative services and performance rendered for the development, promotion of tourism in the country.
The award was handed over to him by Honourable Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh attended by Editor of The Bangladesh Monitor Mr. KaziWahidulAlam at a ceremony arranged by the Monitor authority.
It will be mentioned here that H.M. Hakim Ali dedicated his life for development and promotion of tourism in the country and rendering his thoughtful services relentlessly in this regards since 45 years.
In recognition of his long relentless effort for the development and promotion of tourism in the country he has been elected unanimously as the President of South Asia Tourism Federation (SATF) by SAARC countries’ representatives in 2015 to speed up tourism in SAARC countries unitedly.
He is also president of Bangladesh International Hotel Association(BIHA) It is hoped that under his able leadership Tourism Sector will flourish in the country.
