Hafiz Mazumdar Education Trust has awarded scholarships to 400 students at Hafiz Mazumdar Biddyanikaton under Jokigonj Upazila in Sylhet district as part of its ongoing yearly scholarship distribution programme among the financially disadvantaged but meritorious students at a ceremony yesterday
Minister for Primary and Mass Education Adv Mustafizur Rahman MP was present as the Chief Guest while Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Post Telecommunication and Information Technology Imran Ahmed MP, Whip of the Opposition Salim Uddin, Chairman of Robbar Publications Ltd Saju Hosein, former Chairman of Rupali Bank Ltd Dr Ahmed Al Kabir, Educationist Dr Kabir Chowdhury, Principal of Scholars Home Jubayer Siddiki, Director of Pubali Bank Ltd Rana Layla Hafiz , Executive Editor of Daily Sylheterdak Abdul Hmid Manik, Member of Sylhet Zilla Parishad Shajna Sultana Hoque Chowdhury, Shamim Ahmed were the special guests at the event.
Chairman of Hafiz Mazumdar Education Trust former MP Hafiz Ahmed Mozumdar presided over and its trustee Chondon Das conducted the programme.
In addition to students, guardians and the school teachers attended the programme.
