Staff Reporter :Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia has claimed that they unearthed the clues of the Holey Artisan terror attack with identifying the masterminds. “We have cracked the case of the Holey Artisan (Bakery) attack. Arrest will be made soon. The process is on.” The DMP commissioner said this to a group of journalists in his office in the city’s Minto Road on Sunday. Police were trying to arrest the masterminds who brainwashed the youths, brought them to the path of militancy by misconsidering the verson of Quran and Hadith, the police official said. “Time-binding is not applicable in investigation. The efficient officers of the intelligence units and the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit are closely monitoring all matters related to the attack. We will bring the culprits to book soon,” he said. “Keep faith on us. We are working with right information to prevent such incident in the future, the DMP chief said.In reply to a query, he said that police were looking into the matter whether the attack had foreign link. “Our investigators have found that home-grown militant outfits are active in the country in different names, but their root is one. Those who created anarchy in the immediate past and burnt people, their root are identical. Their names could be different,” the commissioner said. On July 1, gunmen entered the Holey Artisan Bakery and O’ Kitchen Restaurant at Gulshan. The terrorists killed 20 hostages, including 17 foreigners, before army commandos stormed the cafe the following morning and rescued 13 hostages.
