Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of Muslims across the country, will be celebrated tomorrow. Guidelines have been given to perform Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in the mosque following the hygiene rules amid the COVID situation in the country.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs gave the guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety as the spread of the coronavirus has reached a critical level worldwide.
The guidelines that must be followed —
1. Carpets cannot be laid in the mosque during Eid Jamaat.
2. The entire mosque should be cleaned with disinfectant before the prayers. Everyone must bring Janamaz from their respective responsibility.
3. Soap water with hand sanitizer or hand washing system should be kept at the entrance of the mosque.
4. Soap or hand sanitizer should also be kept in the place of ablution or Wudu in the mosque.
5. Before entering the mosque, everyone must perform ablution from their homes. When performing ablution, wash hands with soap for at least 20 seconds.
6. To take part in Eid prayers, one must come to the mosque wearing a mask.
7. Janamaz and hats reserved in the mosque cannot be used.
8. In order to stand in the Eid Jamaat, one must follow social distance and hygiene rules.
9. Children, the elderly, the sick and the person involved in the care of the ill person are being asked to refrain from attending Eid prayers.
10. It is being requested to refrain from hugging or shaking hands after Eid Jamaat in the mosque.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has asked everyone to follow the instructions of the Health Service Division, local administration and law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of all.
Local administrations and law enforcement agencies have been warned to take legal action if these instructions are violated.
