However, recently bomb blasting also occurred at different points in Khulna city. Only after two days of the Sholakia occurrence, miscreants hurled bomb in front of Khulna jail gate on July 9. Earlier, on June 7, bombs were blasted in front of the residence of Jailor of Khulna Jannatul Ferdaus. On May 15, miscreants hurled bomb in front of the residence of Khulna jail Superintendent Md. Kamrul Islam.
Md. Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Khulna Kotwali police station said, the accused persons of bomb blasting cases in front of jail gate were already arrested and they are now in jail custody. Some other bomb blasting also occurred last year. On January 29, 2015, in front of the residence of Khulna Range DIG SM Moniruzzaman, on January 31, 2015, inside the office of Khulna Metropolitan Commissioner Nibash Chandra Majhee and on February 4, 2015, at the garage of the then Khulna police superintendent (SP) Md. Habibur Rahman, bombs were blasted.

But it is a matter of great wonder that law enforcing agencies could not unveil the mystery of these occurrences.
A reliable source said, four college students are missing for long from city’s Daulatpur area, but no activities are found by OC or other officers of Daulatpur police station.
Amid this situation, guardians of Khulna city and nine upazila areas are fearing to send their kids to School. Even after Eid vacation, some students are not being sent to schools in fear of attacks by the miscreants.
Nahida Sultana, a guardian of city’s Boshupara area told this correspondent that police can not assure their own safety, then how they will give safety of their children.
Ashit Mondol, a guardian of Khalishpur area also echoed with Nahida.
