BGMEA, an organisastion of the readymade garments manufacturers, Chittagong chapter donated a pick van and 4 motorbikes to the Chittagong Metropolitan Police authority at the Iftar party as arranged by the organisation at city posh convention hall of the port city on Wednesday.
The keys of the vehicles formally handed over to CMP commissioner Md Iqbal Bahar by the President of BGMEA Md Siddiqur Rahman on the occasion. Among others, first vice president Moinuddin Ahmed Minto, former first vice presidents Nasiruddin Chowdhury, SM Tayub, MA Salam , Ershadullah were present on the handing over ceremony. The BGMEA chief in his brief deliberations said police forces are always remain beside the people to provide security always and they rendered their responsibilities with life risks and to quicken their services BGMEA tries to speed up their activities through using the motor vehicles.
He said BGMEA will try to extend all possible cooperation to police forces as they render their services for controlling the law and order in the garments sector.
First vice president of BGMEA Moinuddin Minto congratulated the invitees for joining in the Iftar and Doa Mahfil of the organization. Govt officials including DC Chittagong, CMP Commissioner, City Mayor, Chamber President, senior customs officials, beside the leaders of shipping agents, C &F agents, intellectuals, journalists, civil society leaders, social personalities, political personalities, NGO personnel, BGMEA members, garments owners attended the Iftar mahfil.
