After its grand debut in 2011, Veet Channel I Top Model made a glamorous return for its 3rd season in September 2014 in search of the country’s Top Model amongst thousands of aspiring young Bangladeshi women. Reckitt Benckiser’s (RB) Veet is the world’s Number 1 brand in the depilatory category, and has been long proven as the first choice for hair removal among stylish, confident women. RB Bangladesh has partnered with Channel I yet again to continue providing this model hunt reality show for aspiring young models to showcase their talents.Veet Channel i top Model’s judge panel was graced with renowned models and fashion and beauty experts, namely Nobel, Tania and Kaniz Almas. The program’s media partners were Anondo Alo and Radio Foorti, and the beauty partner was Persona, says a press release.The response this year has been overwhelming, with more than 7,000 participants registering from all over Bangladesh for the 3rd season. After an audition round of 250 shortlisted applicants, the panel of judges selected the Top 20 contestants for Veet Channel I Top Model 2014. Through a series of challenging grooming sessions conducted by professionals in the beauty and fashion industry, the Top 20 faced intense elimination rounds and finally arrived to the Top 5. In Veet Channel I Top Model 2014, the Top 7 contestants were also taken to Sri Lanka for an international fashion exposure.The Grand Finale of Veet Channel i Top Model 2014 took place on 23 January 2015 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre. The program was aired live on Channel i. The gala was a grand arrangement with performances by the Top 15 contestants, along with notable celebrity performances. The Winner of Veet Channel I Top Model 2014 was crowned and given a cheque of BDT 5 lac by Nayan Mukherjee, COO & Finance Director, RB Bangladesh-Sri Lanka Cluster; and Faridur Reza Sagor, Managing Director, Channel i. Other prizes were handed over by Kazi Arif Zaman, Sales Director; Faija Ansari, HR Director; and Faria Yasmin, Cluster Marketing Manager, of Reckitt Benckiser Bangladesh-Sri Lanka Cluster.The first runner-up and second runner-up received cheques of BDT 3 lac and BDT 2 lac respectively.
