Grameenphone to light up the dark night

Grameenphone has announced a program named “Alor Jatra”, an initiative to transform the grief of the dark night of 25th of March, 1971 to the strength to move forward, according to a press release.
The event “Alor Jatra” is set to begin on the night of 25th March, 2016 at 10:30 pm on Manik Mia Avenue.
In an attempt to symbolize triumph of light over darkness, hundreds of people including government officials, cultural figures, general people, and Grameenphone high officials are going to participate in a rally with candles on their hands.
Renowned individuals and those who witnessed the unprecedented cruelty of the then Pakistani military on unsuspecting Bangladeshis that dark night, will share how the brave Bangladeshis ultimately survived to go beyond despair and fear to earn their freedom after a 9-month long war. All are invited to join program.
