Graduation dinner of NDC & Armed Forces war course held

The Graduation Dinner of National Defence Course and Armed Forces War Course-15 was held at National Defence College (NDC) at Mirpur Cantonment here on Thursday.
Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali highlighted the role of NDC in building national cohesion to address development challenges in Bangladesh while he was addressing the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The Foreign Minister congratulated all course members for successful completion of the course. He also expressed his satisfaction at the high standard of education that is imparted at NDC.
He emphasized on the need for greater synergy and integrity among all national forces, be it military or civil, for attaining much coveted goal of national development and security.
The Minister also reiterated Government’s continuous effort in developing the country to fulfill the desire of the people of Bangladesh and accomplish the Millennium Development Goals in future.
Commandant, NDC Lieutenant General Chowdhury Hasan Sarwardy, Bir Bikram, congratulated the graduating members and expressed thanks to the faculty members and staff officers of the college for their relentless hard work in making the courses successful.
The Commandant expressed profound gratitude to the Chief Guest. The Commandant made special mention about the patronization and kind direction of the Prime Minister for the progress and development of NDC. The Senior Course Members as representative of Military Services, Civil Services and Allied Countries of National Defence Course and Armed Forces War Course spoke on this occasion.
This year the National Defence Course comprises of 29 Brigadier Generals from Bangladesh Army, five Commodores from Bangladesh Navy, one Air commodore and three Group Captains from Bangladesh Air Force.
Beside the Armed Forces Officers, one Additional Secretary and nine Joint Secretaries from Administration and other cadres of Civil Services, one Director General from Foreign Service and two Deputy Inspector General from Bangladesh Police participated in the course.
Besides, 25 overseas course members from 12 friendly countries have also participated in National Defence Course-15. That includes one Group Captain from the Air Force from China, two Brigadiers from the Army and one Air Commodore from the Air Force from India, one Group Captain from the Air Force from Malaysia, two Colonels from the Army, six Captains from the Navy, one Group Captain from the Air Force from Nigeria, one Brigadier General from the Army from South Sudan, two Brigadiers from the Army and one Commodore from the Navy from Sri Lanka, two Colonels from the Army and one Captain from the Navy from Saudi Arabia, one Colonel from the Army From Tanzania, one Lieutenant Colonel from the Army from United Kingdom (UK) and one Colonel from the Army each from Egypt, Myanmar and Oman.
This year the Armed Forces War Course comprised of twenty eight Lieutenant Colonels from Bangladesh Army, two Captains and three Commanders from Bangladesh Navy and one Group Captain and three Wing Commanders from Bangladesh Air Force.
Among others, Chiefs of three services, professors of different universities, distinguished personalities, Defence Advisers of different countries in Bangladesh and high officials of Defence Forces attended the Graduation Dinner.
