GPH Group invests Tk 2400 cr in steel industry at Sitakundo

Chairman of GPH Group Mohammad Jahangir Alam informed that the new steel factory at GPH will invest in Tk 2,400 crore at Sitakunda area . About 150 Acres of land was purchased for establishing the steel industries .
Quantum technology will applied for produce 1 million tons of billet, rod, angle directly through the least carbon emission of imported scrap in this factory. Already 95 percent work has been completed in this factory.
He said this at factory premises in Sitakunda on Sunday . GPH Group Director Mohammad Almas Shimul was present on the occasion.
He informed that the cost of producing 1 tonnes of steel would cost 310 kilo ward electricity. Where the country is currently costing 550 to 650 Kilo wards per tones.
Not only saved the electricity consumed but also gas will be saved. It will save 35 cubic meters of gas per ton. Which is equal to the gas demand of 37,000 households annually.
Besides, I can reduce the transport sector cost by 2 percent. In a year, foreign currency will be 111 million dollar . Direct and indirect employment will be 8 thousand 850 people. Out of this, direct employment will be 3 thousand 500 people. The government will achieved Taka 226 crore as revenue annually he added.
