GP launches pre-paid meter vending with DPDC

Grameenphone has signed an agreement and launched pre-paid meter vending with Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) at Bidyut Bhaban in the city recently.
The agreement was signed by Rasheda Sultana, Head of Financial Services of Grameenphone and Jayanta Kumar Sikder, Joint Secretary and Company Secretary of DPDC.
Dr. Ahmad Kaikaus, Secretary of Power Division and Engineer Bikash Dewan, Managing Director of DPDC were present as Chief Guests. Mahmud Hossain, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Grameenphone was the Special Guest at the signing ceremony, said a press release.
This service will ensure smooth operations to customers maintaining 24/7 vending service from customers’ electronic wallet. In addition, GP selected retail outlets will serve as DPDC distribution points for providing vending solutions to the customers. Grameenphone will ensure that customers are aware of service charges and GP POS/agent presence in different locations for smooth service delivery considering maximum customer convenience. DPDC customers will be able to visit Grameenphone authorized agent points with pre-paid meter smart card and recharge their smart card.
