GP introduces co-branded 4G smartphones

Mobile phone operator Grameenphone on Sunday introduced two 4G enabled smartphones on the eve of the launching 4G services in Bangladesh.
The co-branded smartphones were unveiled at a ceremony held in a city hotel.
BTRC Director General Brig Gen Nasim Parvez unveiled the two co-branded smartphones WE T1 and Micromax Canvas 1, said a press release.
Grameenphone CEO Michael Foley, Deputy CEO and CMO Yasir Azman, Co-Founder of Micromax Informatics Ltd Vikas Jain and Managing Director of Aamra Holdings Ltd Syed Farhad Ahmed were present at the event, among others.
Congratulating Grameenphone, Micromax and Aamra Holdings for introducing such devices to the market, Nasim Parvez expressed his optimism that the two devices would make the 4G handsets more affordable for the general people. Grameenphone CEO Michael Foley said, “It is our intention to provide the best 4G experience for our customers with the most affordable handsets.”
“The 4G can be a game changer for many data users and customers for getting the best experience on our network and they will need to have the right smartphone in their hands,” he added.
With the introduction of 4G, these phones will perform with full HD video streaming, crystal clear video calling, super-fast downloading, smooth music streaming and buffer free live TV.
4G enabled smartphones will be an essential element towards ensuring quality 4G performance and service within the next few days.
