Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Railway ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP reiterated govt’s zero tolerance over controlling crimes and drug abuse across the country including rural areas .
He said Raozan upazila should be free from drug abuse and crimes.
The lawmaker disclosed it while addressing the golden jubilee founding anniversary of the Haladia North Sartha Dargah High school in Raozan , Chattogram on Saturday as Chief Guest.
In his brief deliverations disclosed that very shortly a six storied building for the school will be built and Haladia-Shahid Jafar sarak will be constructed with carpetting at a cost of Tk.72 crores. The lawmaker cautioned against the drug abuse and crimes and the law enforcing agencies have been asked to remain vigilance about any sorts of crimes in this upazila. In the inaugural session of the anniversary in the morning, national flag with national anthem hoisted which was inaugurated by the Upazila Chairman Ehsanul Haider Chowdhury Babul .
A colourful rally was brought out in the morning duly participated by the former and present students of the school. Headmaster of the school Dulal Kanti shil presided the inanugural session .
Ln Mohammad Ali presided the evening session of the function. Asstt. commissioner of Land, Raozan Jonaid Kabir sohag, Haladia UP chairman Shafiqul Islam graced the occasion as special guests. Among others, Panel mayor Bashiruddin Khan, Second Panel Mayor Jamiruddin Parvez , UP chairman Abdul Jabbar sohel, Saififul Islam Chowdhury Rana, Irfan ahmed Chowdhury, Ahsan Habib Chowdhury, Malcom Chakraborty Abu Salek , Md. Asif etwere present on the occasion.
