Govt working to provide healthcare facilities in rural areas

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Maleque said the government has been working relentlessly to provide healthcare facilities for the people in rural areas.
“Ensuring health services for all rural people is one of the most important priorities of the present government…And we are working to this end under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he said this on Saturday while speaking as chief guest during inauguration of a free medical camp at Dhankora in Manikganj.
Around 3,000 patients of various kinds were given free treatment at the medical camp.
Dr. Khurshid Alam, Civil Surgeon, Manikganj, Dr. Prof. Aktaruzzaman,
principal, Colonel Malek Medical College, Dr. Md. Saifur Rahman,
Superintendent, Manikganj 250 bed hospital and Momtahim Billah, Additional
Senior SP, among others, spoke on the occasion.
Later, the state minister laid the foundation stone of a new building of
Zahid Malek High school at Garpara. He also distributed prizes among the
winners of annual sports of the school as chief guest.
