Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder on Sunday said the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working for benefit of the farmers.
“We are taking initiatives for ensuring the fair price of agricultural products to improve living standard of farmers,” he said at a meeting with regional and district level food officials relating to procurement of aman paddy.
The minister was told that the aman rice procurement target will be achieved in the division this year. Director General of Foods Dr Nazmanara Khanom, Director (Procurement) Zulfikar Rahman, Regional Controller of Foods Md Muniruzzaman and District Controllers of Foods from all eight districts under Rajshahi division were present at the meeting held at the conference hall of Regional Controller of Food Office.
