Government will provide all kinds of cooperation to those local companies, which would come forward to produce affordable smart phones so that the country’s each people can use phones, said State Minister for Post and Telecommunications Tarana Halim while visiting Walton Hi-Tech Industries at Chandra in Gazipur on Wednesday.
The minister also came up with the remark while briefing the media after the visit of the company that the present government’s dream is to bring the smart phones at each and every people of the country at affordable rates, she said adding: “If the local companies come forward in making the dream into reality through producing smart phones and supplying them at reasonable prices, they will get the government’s full cooperation.”
In this case, local brand ‘Walton’ has expressed its keen interest in manufacturing mobile phones, she said adding that thus she made this visit to WHIL to see the strengths of the local brands in the production of technology based products.
Walton is the pioneer company in the country’s electronics, electrical and automobiles sector, the state minister said.
