Govt to ensure all humanitarian assistances to Rohingyas: Maya

Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Bir Bikram, today said the government would ensure all kinds of humanitarian assistances to Rohingya people.
The minister also said supervising officers have been appointed at 20 blocks of Kutupalong Rohingya camp to facilitate the humanitarian assistances activities.
He was speakin at a meeting at the office of Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commission (RRRC) in Cox’s Bazar.
“We have already appointed officers for each of the 20 blocks of Kutupalong camp to supervise the overall humanitarian supports to Rohingya. They will be entrusted with assisting district administration and army to distribute reliefs, building sheds for accommodation, giving medical services, sanitation and pure drinking water along with looking into the security matter,” he said.
“The officers, who will stay in camp areas round the clock, will also assist the people concerned in registering the names of Rohingyas.” he added.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave them shelter on humanitarian ground and the Rohingyas will be given all possible humanitarian assistances required for their survival,” he stated. The minister also asked all the people concerned to remain alert so that the Rohingya people could not spread out from the camp and contribute to the deterioration of law and order.
